A 2.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Lampang’s Muang district on Tuesday morning but there was no damage, the Seismological Bureau said.
The quake occurred at 6.41am with the epicentre in tambon Nikom Phattana, which is about 15 kilometres away from the town’s centre.
Thinnakorn Thatong, director of the Mineral Resources Office, Region 1, said people probably did not even feel such a low-level quake, which happened quite often in Lampang. There was no need for concern, he said
