Lt Col Sathaporn Tiaphetdee, leader of a peacekeeping unit of the 9th Infantry Regiment, said the unit comprising 15 immigration and local administration officials and rangers stopped a white Honda at the Ban Phu Nam Ron checkpoint in tambon Ban Kao of Muang district for a search on being informed that a number of illegal immigrants would be transported along the Phu Nam Ron-Huay Nam Khao route.
