Visibility at all major southern airports improved considerably on Saturday morning, enabling all flights to land and take off as scheduled, according to Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (Aerothai).
An Aerothai news release stated that from 6am to 10am on Saturday there were no delays or cancellations of flights at these airports.
An exception was Bangkok Airways Flight BKP319, which departed from Suvarnabhumi airport at 5.24am, 14 minutes later than the original departure time of 5.10am. As a result, the flight arrived at Koh Samui airport at 6.09am or 10 minutes later than scheduled.
According to Aerothai, visibility between 6am and 10am was 3,000 metres at Samui airport; 1,000m to 1,500m at Surat Thani airport; 4,000m at Nakhon Si Thammarat airport; 2,000m at Hat Yai airport; 3,000m at Phuket airport; 3,500m at Krabi airport; and 5,000m at Ranong airport.
