30kg of heroin seized from cargo ship at PAT port

At least three Taiwanese men were arrested and about 30 kilogrammes of heroin seized from a cargo ship moored at the Port Authority of Thailand’s port in Klong Toey, Bangkok, in the early hours of Friday.

Narcotics suppression officers and customs officials raided the Taiwanese-registered vessel Ying Ming at the PAT’s Terminal 1 about 3am on Friday, Thai media reported.

More than 30kg of heroin were found inside the ship. There ws no soignof the captain, who was believed to have fled, according to the report.

The three suspected drug smugglers were held in police custody for legal action.
