Early Life, Career and Awards

The Thai-British actress and superstar was born on 28 June 1981, in Bangkok, Thailand. Chompoo entered the entertainment industry at a young age, winning the 1998 Miss Motor Show. Shortly after, her first acting role in the Thai soap opera titled “Pleng Prai” catapulted her into a household name at the age of 17. Her most famous work is "Dok Som See Thong," where she played the role of "Reya." More recently, she starred in Tootsies & The Fake in 2019, and Long Live Love in 2023.

Her performances in TV dramas and movie roles have earned her multiple awards, including the 9th Komchadluek Award for Best Actress, the 26th Golden Television Award for Outstanding Lead Actress, and the Mekhala Award. Chompoo also received many more accolades, including the FHM Sexiest Actress in Thailand Awards 2007-2010, and the 10 Most Influential Women of the Year 2011.

Chompoo is married to Visrut “Nott” Rangsisingpipat, a successful businessman and internet personality. They have twin boys named “Saifah” and “Phayu” and a daughter named “Abigail,” forming a beautiful family. Chompoo’s children are adored and loved by many Thais, with video clips of them going viral and gaining millions of views.

Her Role in Female Empowerment in the Film Industry

As a brand ambassador for L'Oréal Paris, Chompoo has been passionate and vocal about empowering women in the film industry, bringing awareness to female involvement in the world of films. L’Oréal’s “Lights on Women Awards” honours and highlights up-and-coming female film directors, providing them with a platform to showcase their talents and gain recognition in the industry.

In an interview, Chompoo said, “Giving women the opportunity to express themselves in the world of film is important for them to see their own worth. Because right now there are still many women in the foreground and behind the scenes who are still just a small part here. If they were given the spotlight to show their full potential, Chom believes that this will be an important turning point that will make women more proud of their own worth.”
