Custom officers searched Yuyee who appeared to be acting suspiciously and discovered five milligrammes of cocaine inside her purse along with medication pills.

She admitted that she used the drug when she was in Vietnam, claiming that it was for her own use, not for distribution.

The former supermodel was charged with possession of narcotics and momentarily held before being released on 10,000 baht bail posted by her ex-husband Francisco Xavier Cuesta-Ramos, a Spanish national.

In July, law enforcement agents raided Yuyee's house in Bangkok's Saphan Sung district after receiving a report that there were protected wildlife on the premises.

During the raid, officials found dozens of forest animals and birds, some of them protected species, which Yuyee says she cares for before releasing back into the wild.
