Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra celebrated her 48th birthday Sunday by performing a religious ceremony and merit-making activities at Wat Saensuk in Min Buri district.

She was accompanied by her husban Anusorn Amornchat and son Supasek.

Also taking part in the activities at the temple were a number of associates close to her family and Pheu Thai Party politicians such as Phumtham Vechayachai, former Pheu Thai secretary-general, Vicharn Minchainan, former MP representing Min Buri district, Karun Hosakul, a former Don Muang MP, Anudit Nakornthap, a former science and technology minister, and Chadchat Sitthipan, a former transport minister.

A large number of people turned out to wish her a happy birthday.
