CEO of Chia Tai receives Honorary Doctorate Degree in Agricultural Research and Development from Kasetsart University, reemphasizing Chia Tai’s vision for development of Thailand’s sustainable agriculture
Mr. Manas Chiaravanond, Chief Executive Officer of Chia Tai Company Limited, Thailand’s leading innovative agricultural company, recently received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Agricultural Research and Development from the Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University, conferred by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana in the 2020 Commencement Ceremony. The university awarded the honorary degree to recognise Mr. Manas as a highly respected leading figure in the agricultural industry, both locally and internationally. His dedication ranges from unwavering promotion of and commitment to extensive research and development of agricultural innovations to maximise the potential for agricultural stability, uplift farmers’ quality of life, and firmly establish food security for consumers at large. With this in mind, Kasetsart University Council approved to award the Honorary Doctorate Degree to Mr. Manas Chiaravanond as a mark of honour and to encourage Chia Tai to continue to deliver agricultural innovations that contribute to the wellbeing of society. The Commencement Ceremony was hosted at Chakrabandhu Pensiri Hall, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus.
Those joining the ceremony to congratulate Mr. Manas on the remarkable achievement, included members of the Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Kasetsart University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pabhop Sinchayakul, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sasithorn Nakthong, Associate Dean for Research and Academic Services; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Suphachai Amkha, Associate Dean for Human Resource Development and International Relations as well as top executives of Chia Tai.
