‘centralwOrld’ reaffirms its position as ‘The Biggest Food Destination in Asia’, launching a new campaign ‘endless discovery wOrld of food’ to offer endless unique delicious experiences all year long

Central Pattana Plc., developer of centralwOrld, is creating a phenomenon in the dining world with the launch of its ‘centralwOrld endless discovery wOrld of food’ campaign, which will highlight centralwOrld as ‘The Biggest Food Destination’, bringing together the world’s biggest variety of cafés and restaurants with more than 215 establishments from more than ten countries under one roof.  You will be able to enjoy endless great food with a delightful selection of fresh, high-quality ingredients, different types of cuisines, and street foods, plus a café society with the widest range of cafés as well as a world-class culinary school: Le Cordon Bleu Dusit. centralwOrld’s ultimate food destination will be able to respond to the needs of all lifestyles and passion for eating and cooking. Everyone can experience this delicious phenomenon together and indulge endlessly in the world of foods in their own style.

The launch event was led by two executives from Central Pattana: Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Isareit Chirathivat, Senior Director of Sales, who shared insights into the dining styles of modern consumers.  Together, they unveiled ‘wOrld of food at centralwOrld’ and introduced the ‘Food Bible’, a compilation of 215 restaurants available at centralwOrld.  The compilation is broken down into eight types of dining styles based on lifestyle insights: Shabu and Grill; Michelin Star restaurants; wOrld of Desserts; International Food; Thai Taste; Quick Service Restaurants; Hangouts & Exquisite Bars; and Creative Cooking. At the event, there is also exclusive food tasting to introduce highlighted menus of restaurants from each dining style, marking the first of its kind.

In addition, from December 2020 to January 2021, centralwOrld will have more than ten famous new Michelin-starred restaurants from other countries available for customers, including Japan’s Tsuta, the first ramen eatery in the world to receive a Michelin star (in 2015); Kam’s Roast Goose from Hong Kong, which has received a Michelin star for five consecutive years and will be available in January; TP Tea by Chun Shui Tang, the world’s first bubble tea establishment; The Cassette Music Bar known as the ultimate 90's music bar; and Seoul Garden, the first Korean barbeque restaurant from Korea to open in Thailand.”

Isareit Chirathivat, Senior Director of Sales at Central Pattana Plc, said: “centralwOrld is the first shopping centre to bring together the biggest variety of popular restaurants that respond well to the needs of people with different preferences and passion for food.  Each individual can come here to create their own unique experience each time they come, and dining can be a flexible passion. Everyone must be familiar with the question: ‘What should I eat today?’, and since centalwOrld is very spacious and has many eateries, customers might not know what dining choices are available here, and where to find them.  This is the reason why we created the ‘Food Bible’, which will help answer the difficult question of what you should eat today.  The Food Bible is based on lifestyle insights into current dining behaviours and preferences.  The 215 available restaurants can be separated into eight types:

1.Shabu and Grill: There are 14 available, with nine being Shabu and Suki Yaki restaurants and five barbeque restaurants. The Shabu, Suki Yaki and barbeque restaurants are from various countries and are suitable for families, health-conscious people, and meat lovers. Available restaurants in this category include Shabushi, Charna, MK Live, Momo Paradise Gold, Tajimaya Yakiniku, Nice Two Meat U, the first Haidilao branch in Thailand, and Sukishi Prime – Sukishi’s first Korean Omakase restaurant.  

2.Michelin Star & Michelin Guide: There are nine available, with seven being restaurants that have been included in the Michelin Guide, including the Michelin-starred Tsuta and Kam’s Roast Goose, which are the first branches in Thailand.  

3.Café society & wOrld of Dessert: Café Society at centralwOrld brings together as many as 100 cafés, including 18 bubble tea stores, 23 bakery cafés and 59 dessert cafés.

  • Available renowned coffee shops include The Coffee Academics, Host & Amber, Roast, Pacamara, and Red Diamond as well as four Starbucks outlets including a Starbuck Reserve Café, which is the second largest of its kind (after one in China).  
  • Desserts, snacks and tea are available at TP Tea, the original bubble tea creator from Taiwan; Taiwan’s number one bubble tea Xing Fu Tang; famous apple pie shop from Japan Anri Bakery; After You; Yomie’s Rice; Zakuzaku; Paris Mikki; Paul; and Eric Kayser.

4.Asian Lifestyle & Inter’ Food: A total of 45 restaurants from ten countries are available to choose from. There are five Chinese restaurants, two from Malaysia and Singapore, 24 Japanese restaurants, three Korean restaurants, eleven western cuisine restaurants, one Indian restaurant, two Spanish restaurants, four Italian restaurants and one Vietnamese restaurant.   

5.Thai Taste: 16 are available, including authentic Thai cuisine, rare menus and Thai fusion restaurants. There are nine Thai restaurants, three Thai-Isan restaurants and four seafood restaurants.

6.Quick Service Restaurants, Food World, Live House: A total of 14 establishments are available: eight quick-service single-dish restaurants; three noodle restaurants; and three fast food restaurants, including Easy Buddy, which offers a delicious Krapao menu created by Chef Buddy, Chunn, Boonpak, Home Nuna, and Thong Smith.  

7.Everyday Hangouts & Exquisite Bars: A total of 15 establishments are available, highlighting centralwOrld as the ultimate ‘Hangout Destination’ landmark in the heart of Bangkok.  Available establishments include Brangus by Bluegold, Kenshin Izakaya, HOBS, Chongjaroen, KIN+HEY by Greyhound Café, Wine Connection, Wine I Love You, Italian Osteria, Hyde & Seek Peek-A-Boo, Everseoul OT, Hiyaku and ones that will be coming soon – The Cassette Music Bar, ‘Co Unlimited’, and Spanish Tapas Bar. 

8.Creative Cooking: There are two establishments available. ABC Cooking Studio is Japan’s largest cooking studio and Le Cordon Bleu Dusit is known as the Ivy League of the culinary world. Le Cordon Bleu operates in 20 countries worldwide and has nine branches in Asia in eight countries. Its only branch in Thailand is located at centralwOrld.
