Sunshine International has announced the appointment of a new general manager of Sunshine Hills and Sunshine International Retirement Residences. Mr. Lorenz Lopena has been given the opportunity to manage the two well-known Retirement Hotels and Residences.
In 2012 at the young age of just 21, Lorenz started working for Mr. Andrew Stocks, CEO of Sunshine International. He took care of all the finances for Mr. Stocks's Foundation, including balancing income and expenses.
At 24 years old, in May 2015, Lorenz narrowly survived a devastating car accident in Hua Hin. The accident was so bad he was forced to take six months off work. Every day he thought "Maybe I can never work again". The Car in which he was traveling was a complete write-off. He spent months in hospital and underwent many operations. Many people at the time believed he could never work again, and possibly never even walk again.
But after lots of treatment, Lorenz slowly gained more and more strength. His body filled with many metal pieces slowly began to heal and he was able to walk again. Finally, he could go back to work.
Over the following years, Lorenz got promoted and eventually became the assistant manager of Sunshine Hill's in Hua Hin. Sunshine Hill's, a hotel type residence with nurses on call 24-hours.
The residence was designed for early retirees to live a full retirement life in Thailand. It was designed for people to move in and take advantage of hotel-like services provided year-round.
The property is overstaffed to ensure each resident has help when they need it, making it the perfect place to live as you get older.
In March 2021 Lorenz was promoted again, this time to become general manager of Sunshine Hills and Sunshine International Retirement Residences. Lorenz was already used to working in the two properties. In his new position, he is responsible for everything, including overseeing day-to-day management of the properties and staff along with balancing income and expenses.
Lorenz said he is excited at the prospect of managing the two properties. He is looking forward to sailing through these difficult times of Covid-19 and is working hard with his team to ensure a bright future for Sunshine Hills and Sunshine International Retirement Residences and their residents.
