Meet Dr. Jessica Mack, the Mastermind Behind “More Than Meatless Monday”

Dr. Jessica Mack is a food blogger with a passion for creating content for meatless meals. Whether you are an ardent meat-eater or you are a vegetarian, she provides recipes to satisfy the pickiest eater while showcasing her exceptional cooking techniques. Jessica is passionate about cooking and baking, and is the face behind “More Than Meatless Monday”. Dr. Jessica is out to prove to you that you can still enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack with meatless meals and plant-based foods.

Dr. Jessica is a former Occupational Therapist and a certified personal trainer. She attended Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, and graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Later, Jessica joined Long Island University (LIU) in Brookville, NY, and completed a Master of Science Degree in Counselling and holds a post-graduate certificate in Educational Leadership and Policy. Her quest to further her studies led her to Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she graduated with a clinical Doctoral Degree.

Dr. Jessica worked for almost two decades as an Occupational Therapist. Through her extensive and dynamic professional background, she was able to work with great enthusiasm and passion with people of all ages and their different capabilities. Unfortunately, Jessica began suffering from chronic illnesses, which negatively impacted her ability to participate in various activities in her life. As a result, she had no choice but to retire from practicing as a clinician at a young age. However, she followed her cooking passion and began creating recipes, learning food photography and food preparation.

Today, Dr. Jessica is living her dream. She has always loved being in the kitchen baking and cooking various recipes. She has recently completed a culinary program through the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts to boost her cooking skills and arts to the next level. As a vegetarian who is married to a meat-eater, Jessica has learned the art of sharing the importance of reducing meat intake without "pushing the message down people's throats." She has proven her meatless recipes will satisfy anyone’s hunger and even a meat-lover will always find something tasty and healthy.

"My recipes are versatile. I started this as a hobby when I suffered from illnesses and was virtually bedridden. People loved sharing my recipes and were looking for ways to incorporate meatless dishes into their weekly plans. Additionally, I wanted to share that meatless meals can be served more than simply on meatless Monday," Jessica stated.

As a food blogger, content creator, and chef, she has had spectacular successes. She has published various articles, contributed to Dr. Oz's blog and sharecare.org website. She has also made several show appearances in Long Island's oldest radio show, WGBB, and Sirius/XM's The Doctors show. In addition, Dr. Jessica has made television appearances on Emmy's award-winning daytime shows, such as "The Dr. Oz Show," "The Katie Couric Show," and as a frequent guest on the “Lifestyle Today Show”.

Jessica has made a unique name through her social media platforms. On her Instagram and Facebook accounts, she has ardent followers who enjoy her cooking skills and meatless recipes. Jessica is also on YouTube, offers virtual cooking classes, and aims to make several appearances in cooking segments and catering. As a content creator, she is looking forward to producing a cookbook, her own cooking show, and a line of cookware in days to come.
