Chef Cares launches Duck in Southern Spices and Ginger Rice

New exclusive recipe co-created with Blue Elephant Group’s patron chef

Chef Cares in collaboration with Chef Nooror Somany-Steppe, patron chef of iconic Blue Elephant Restaurant Group, has introduced a new regional Thai menu, “Duck in Southern Spices and Ginger Rice”.  It’s the first time duck has joined Chef Cares’ much loved selections of nutritious ready meals.

A global sensation and an authority on Thai cuisine, chef Nooror Somany-Steppe is best known for her restaurant group Blue Elephant, with branches in Thailand and Europe. One of the secrets of chef Nooror’s success at Blue Elephant is her signature curry pastes that are sold in more than 38 countries worldwide. Chef Cares is excited to be collaborating with Blue Elephant Restaurant Group which shares our ethos of promoting Thai gastronomy using the best available ingredients.

At 69.- baht only, “Duck in Southern Spices and Ginger Rice” is prepared using the finest choices of ingredients. Duck meat is rich in iron and amino acid. In this case, it is cooked gently according to Blue Elephant’s secret recipe of aromatic “Prik Gaeng Tai” (southern-style curry paste), and served with ginger-scented rice. The new, taste-bud tantalizing menu is now available at 7-Eleven and Makro (selected branches in Bangkok area) and via ALL Online App by 7-Eleven. 100% of profits from sales will be used to fund charitable projects under Chef Cares Foundation.

Marisa Chearavanont launched Chef Cares in 2020, collaborating with award-winning and compassionate chefs in Thailand, with a unified mission to give back to society through culinary art. The project started with the chefs’ coming together to cook and donate nutritious meals to frontline medical workers battling Covid-19. Later on, with Marisa’s strong passion and vision to promote Thai gastronomy, Chef Cared Foundation was inaugurated.

Marisa also created the Chef Cares’ Ready Meals project to promote healthy and mindful eating in Thai society, ensuring that the ready meals made by world-class chefs are not only tasty but also high in nutrition. Profits from the sales of these delicious ready meals become a sustainable source of income that can be used to fund charitable initiatives by Chef Cares Foundation, such as donation for Covid-19 relief and Chef Cares’ Dream Academy, a project that gives underprivileged youth life-changing opportunities to realise their dreams of becoming professional chefs.
