How Marko Gojanovic Turned a Career in Nightlife into an Entrepreneurial American Dream

While traditionally, the magic city of Miami is known for its nightlife, beaches and vacation attractions, in the last two years, it has become a destination for business opportunities in light of the pandemic. When the majority of the world remained shut down as a result of quarantine mandates, Miami thrived and quickly became known as the safe haven in the U.S. where business, real estate and opportunity thrived. For entrepreneur Marko Gojanovic, Miami was the birthplace of what is quickly developing into a prolific career. With a story that emanates the American Dream, Marko’s success thus far is a testament to what hard work and dedication can lead to.

After giving up his dream to play tennis professionally due to a career-ending injury, shortly thereafter, Gojanovic would embark on a career in hospitality. Working his way up in the Miami hospitality and nightlife community, the aspiring entrepreneur began to develop a network that would later lead to even greater opportunities. Gojanovic’s most recent and notable hospitality achievement was the launch of the buzzy nightlife destination Joia Beach on Jungle Island. Despite launching the restaurant and lounge in the middle of the pandemic, Joia Beach was met with phenomenal success as the venue is outdoor and a covid-compliant destination. After successfully launching the venture, Gojanovic parted ways with Joia Beach.

His latest endeavours, however, are largely focused on real estate as the evolving entrepreneur has recently joined the prestigious ONE Sotheby’s International Realty group, providing the ultimate real estate experience, dealing in some of Miami’s most luxurious homes and properties.  While real estate is not hospitality, thanks to his extensive network and innate ability to connect with people, Gojanovic’s network remains the common denominator in all of his endeavours.

“I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t matter where you are in life, if you put in the hard work, things will open up, whether it takes three years or five years,” he continued. “You just have to do the work and breakthroughs will follow.”
