Real Estate Agent Burton Wilkins Fulfils Coastal Demand for Luxury Properties

Though the covid-19 pandemic wrought economic disaster across the world, one well-known industry has experienced a major boom against all fiscal odds: real estate. Considering nationwide and international lockdown restrictions, many consumers chose to ditch their big city residences in favour of coastal properties, allowing them to embrace the pandemic’s ‘new-normal’ with a vacation-esque feeling and the fresh air to match. Leading the charge for buyers and sellers' transactions across the East Coast has been Burton Wilkins, ONE Sotheby’s International Realty’s luxury real estate agent acknowledged worldwide for his dual-region focus and client-first dedication.

Down in Miami, the South Floridian hotspot Wilkins has called home for more than a decade, property transactions have been booming throughout 2021. While already popular for its tax advantages and bustling nightlife scene, Florida’s relaxed internal approach to the pandemic turned the area into a must-live region for the global elite, resulting in increased sales and low inventory throughout the area. Wilkins, bolstered by his rolodex of international clientele and background in hospitality, has leveraged deals within the buzzing Miami market throughout the year, recently closing on a $12.1 million condominium on South Beach.

With the year coming to a close, Wilkins is already poised to start 2022 with a bang in Miami as he approaches closing on a luxury quadplex in the first days of January. Featuring four one bedroom, one bath units last listed at $1,950,000, the upcoming deal on the Wynwood property will help cement Wilkins’ reputation as one of Miami’s most in-demand agents of the new year.

Miami hasn’t been Wilkins only successful market, however; a native to Ocean City, New Jersey, Wilkins has taken his talents up the coast and back to his hometown to execute a number of 7-figure deals. In December alone, Wilkins closed an off-market sale for 1417 Ocean Ave’ Ocean Front Hotel, last asking at $5,000,000, and earned another listing on E 9th St. for $2,799,000 consisting of multiple luxury two-bedroom, two-bathroom residential units with a ground floor commercial restaurant space below.

As new variants surge and the increased demand for coastal properties continues, Wilkins’ East Coast focus and multi-market approach is anticipated to bring on yet another year of high-volume sales for the real estate agent, with 2022 posed to be Wilkins’ best year yet.
