The founder of Lovell International School, Ms. Pattamon Mekavarakul, previously built a world class, award-winning five-star beachfront resort in Thailand, called Cape Dara Resort, and ran it for almost a decade. In 2019, she went through big changes in her life and learnt about life in ways she never had before. She wished that she’d learnt these when she was young and thought she was immune to tackling whatever life would bring.
“Perfection does not guarantee happiness,” she says. “But we can create happiness and live life the way we think we deserve.”
She realised that the best time to plant that immunity into life is during the time from birth to six years old because that is when we absorb everything and form humanity in our hearts.
With this in mind, she started her kindergarten project in 2021, with strong passion to create a generation that is humane, happy, responsible, and capable. To educate children to one day become high quality citizens of the world, neither harming themselves nor others, who know their rights and get to live the life they deserve.
Lovell International School is designed and built with the purpose to enhance the most crucial skills of the alpha generation, or EF (Executive Functions). These are the skills that can help them overcome difficulties, hardships and boredom in order to achieve their goals. All school functions, including 12 classrooms and fun activities, swimming pool, splash pool, gym, dance studio, cooking class, art studio, musical wall, in/outdoor playgrounds, and a family library for parents and children to build a lifelong learner community together, help develop the pupils’ brains and motor skills.
The harmony of the learning environment is thanks to big trees and many other plants and natural features as well as other components such as a bug hotel, key hole, flower garden with butterfly farm, green kitchen where children can learn through play.
In terms of curricula, the school blends the best of EYFS and National Curriculum with Montessori.
