Diageo Moët Hennessy (Thailand) or DMHT, the leader in premium beverage alcohol, has announced the appointment of Mr. Puneet Narang as the new Managing Director of DMHT, succeeding Mr. Alberto Ibeas. Following the appointment, Mr. Narang is scheduled to move to Thailand in March 2022.
Mr. Puneet Narang is an internationally experienced professional with a track record of success in managing complex businesses. With professional expertise in P&L Management, Global Marketing, Product Innovation and Consumer Insights, he has delivered successful performance in several companies and geographies.
Mr. Narang will be responsible for determining and implementing the strategic direction for Thailand’s business operations, whilst bolstering platforms for sustainable growth. In his capacity, Mr. Narang will seek to amplify the company’s commitment to good corporate citizenship across all areas of the business, positively contributing to Thai society in an effort to achieve DMHT’s mission of becoming the most trusted and respected consumer products company.
Mr. Narang was previously the Managing Director of Diageo Indonesia. Under his lead, Diageo Indonesia performed successfully, increasing its market share and business results as well as improving its compliance culture and overall employee engagement.
Mr. Narang has over 25 years of international experience in senior leadership and management roles, working with several of the most reputable companies in FMCG, Food & Beverage, and Consumer Healthcare, such as Reckitt Benckiser, Mondelez, Pfizer and GSK. Before taking on his role in Thailand, he has lived and worked in the UK, Ireland, India, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, as well as Australia.
Mr. Narang holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is an Australian citizen.
