‘Mother’s Day Savings’ deposit account offers an interest rate of up to 2.00% per annum
Government Housing Bank (G H Bank) welcomes Mother’s Day 2022 by inviting customers to open a deposit account that provides good returns and helps more people gain access to low-interest mortgages with the launch of “Mother’s Day Savings” deposit account with an interest rate of up to 2.00% per annum from the date on which the account is opened until 14 February 2024. (Individuals are exempted from personal income tax on the interest) Customers can open a deposit account with a minimum of 10,000 baht from now until 31 August 2022. One customer can have one deposit account.
Mr. Chatchai Sirilai, President of Government Housing Bank (G H Bank), revealed that, “To support Thai people to save on the occasion of Mother’s Day 2022 and create an alternative deposit account that provides good returns in response to the resolution of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to raise the policy interest rate
by 0.25% per annum on 10 August 2022, and also to give people a better opportunity to secure low-interest mortgages, Government Housing Bank (G H Bank), as a state-owned and Specialized Financial Institution, has created a new financial product called ‘Mother’s Day Savings’ deposit account that provides an interest rate of up to 2.00% per annum from the date on which account is opened until 14 February 2024 without withdrawals (Individuals are exempted from personal income tax at the fixed deposit rate of 2.35% per annum.). Customers can simply open a deposit account with a minimum of 10,000 baht from today until 31 August 2022. One customer is limited to one deposit account. According to the government policy, “G H Bank will take the deposited money to produce low-interest rate home loan products to create an opportunity for Thai people to have a home.”
