Ministry of Commerce – DITP declares TILOG VE 2022 a success in boosting business networks between Thai and international logistics service providers

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, revealed a remarkable turnout at “TILOG Virtual Exhibition: TILOG VE 2022”, the 2nd successful year of the event that demonstrates the potential of Thai logistics service providers in the global market. This year’s event generated more than THB1.24 billion of trade value.

Mr. Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengrit, Director-General of DITP, said, “TILOG Virtual Exhibition: TILOG VE 2022 was held during 24-26 August 2022 on the www.tilog-ve.com platform. The event’s purpose was to promote clusters of services, especially logistics providers, and drive Thailand’s logistics hub in ASEAN policy of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit. TILOG VE 2022 is humbled by the overwhelming response from international logistics service providers and buyers from China, Myanmar, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Hungary, Russia, Nigeria, Kenya, and other countries.” 

“The three-day virtual exhibition attracted 24,886 participants and resulted in 296 business matchings. Trade value exceeded expectations at 1,244.20 million baht. The success of TILOG VE 2022 evidences the readiness and increasing demand for international transportation in line with the value of Thai exports. It is also an important opportunity for Thai logistics entrepreneurs to build a business network and expand services to meet target group demands effectively.”

The DITP will continue organising related activities to develop and promote Thai logistics entrepreneurs. TILOG VE 25 was followed by “Trade Logistics Symposium 2022”, an international symposium on global trade logistics taking Empowering E-Commerce and Cross Border Logistics as its theme. Trade Logistics Symposium 2022 provided a stage for sharing and exchanging insights and knowledge regarding e-commerce and cross-border trade. Renowned speakers from the logistics industry both domestically and internationally took to the stage to share their views on 1-2 September  2022 at Hall 2 Lido Connect and through a webinar.

Moreover, “Digital Life…Digital Logistics by DITP” was set to be held between 3-4 September 2022 at Future Park and Zpell Rangsit shopping centres. A line-up of e-logistics and technology manufacturers was set to present products and services to interested entrepreneurs.
