A Bayer management team led by Mr. Weraphon Charoenpanit, Country Commercial Lead Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar, welcomed Mr.Rapibhat and the Department of Agriculture delegation at the Bayer GSPP site.

The Department of Agriculture has implemented a market demand- and supply-oriented research and production-focused research policy and uses advanced biotechnology to produce high-quality seeds so that farmers can obtain a proper crop price.
This is in line with the statement made at the Asian Seed Congress 2022 that Thailand has set its goal to become “The World Leader in Tropical Seeds” with a strategy to drive cooperation between the public and private sectors to strengthen the community and promote sustainable growth of the seed industry.
Bayer representatives from the Bayer Good Seed and Plant Practices (GSPP) site presented an overview of the high-quality seed production. The site is a production and learning centre for producing high quality vegetable seeds according to the standards of the Good Seed and Plant Practices (GSPP) system.
