Kao and 7-Eleven pronounce Bioré Guard Mos Block Serum Donation

to Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health a success

Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd. teamed up with CP ALL Public Company Limited to highlight the success of the Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum donation campaign to keep Thai people safe from dengue fever.

Purchasing 1 tube of Bioré GUARD Mos Block Serum through 7-Eleven stores nationwide, including the 7 Delivery Application and ALL ONLINE, is equivalent to a donation of 5 baht per unit to the fund to purchase new tubes of the product to donate to the hospital. The campaign managed to raise funds to purchase 10,000 tubes worth 690,000 baht for donation to Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health.

Mr. Yuji Shimizu, President of Kao industrial (Thailand), noted, “Kao is strongly committed to protecting people’s lives from the spread of dengue hemorrhagic fever and other mosquito-borne diseases. In this connection, we have teamed up with 7-Eleven in a campaign to raise funds to purchase new tubes of Bioré Guard Mos Block Serum, a mosquito repellent product, to donate to hospitals to protect patients from dengue. With this collaboration, we are delighted to help society by delivering 10,000 tubes worth 690,000 baht to Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health. All the donated products will be allocated at the hospitals’ discretion.”

“According to Department of Disease Control statistics on the dengue situation in 2022, it is mostly seen in school children, 5 to 14 years old. This is a vulnerable group as they tend to play in open fields and may not know how to protect themselves from mosquitoes which can lead to dengue fever. Therefore, we would like to donate our Bioré Guard Mos Block Serum, a mosquito repellent with a unique formula that can be spread over exposed skin to protect against mosquito bites and is safe for daily use. This protects the children from mosquitoes and the threat of dengue fever.”

Mr. Yuthasak Poomsurakul, Chief Executive Officer and operator of 7-Eleven convenience stores and 7-Delivery, revealed, “We are delighted to partner with Kao to protect Thai people from dengue fever, which is a significant health threat, especially to the most vulnerable groups. Prior to this donation, we have been active in raising awareness of healthcare issues by connecting with ‘RooTan’ application to enable health-related risk alerts. This fits in with our 7-Eleven TH application which has over 30 million user bases to enhance Thai healthcare with efficient and effective surveillance for dengue hemorrhagic fever under our ‘Creating and sharing opportunities with each other’ mission.”

Bioré Guard Mos Block Serum is a new mosquito repellent product that makes use of Kao's unique, revolutionary technology from Japan that can expand widely and provide coverage on skin, as if having a skin shield that protects against mosquitoes. The serum is a light formulation which is not sticky and does not contain DEET. It has been tested for skin irritation and has a fragrant aroma. It can be used anywhere, anytime, and every day to protect against dengue and other mosquito-vector diseases.
