Huawei and Precise System and Project Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on deepening its strategic cooperation.

Mr. Cheng Guodong, President of Huawei Thailand Enterprise Business Dept., and Mr. Amorn Daengchot, CEO of Precise System and Project Co., Ltd., signed the MoU on behalf of the two companies on February 9, 2023. Present at the signing ceremony were Mr. David Sun, CEO of Huawei Electric Power Digitalization Business Unit, Mr. Liu Shuofei, President of Huawei Asia Pacific Energy Sector, Mr. Kitti Sumrit, CEO of Precise Corporation Public Company Limited, and Mr. Passakorn Naraborrirak, COO of Precise System and Project Co., Ltd.

Huawei and Precise have already jointly developed the intelligent power distribution gateway solution which enables real-time monitoring of power distribution transformers and improves daily operation and O&M efficiency. The solution has been applied in several power distribution scenarios, delivering significant value and tangible benefits. The signing of the MoU deepens the relationship between Huawei and Precise, a clear sign that both companies will cooperate further to accelerate the digital journey of the power sector in Thailand.

According to the MoU, the two companies will focus on cooperation in research and construction of smart grid and intelligent energy solutions such as smart transmission systems, smart distribution systems, smart substations, smart solutions for LV distribution systems, and other new business areas, making the parties strategic partners. In addition, an exhibition and experience centre of digital products and intelligent energy solutions will be jointly developed at Precise Products and Solution Exhibition Center in Thailand. This will better serve Thai customers and at the same time help create a greener and more sustainable society.

During the ceremony, Mr. David Sun remarked: "Our purpose is to bridge the gap between customer requirements and intelligent power solutions, and to shorten the connection between innovation and product development. Only with strong and committed partnerships such as with Precise, will we be able to do so."

Saying he regarded the strategic cooperation as a highly significant milestone in the two parties' partnership, Mr.Kitti Sumrit remarked: “By entering into this MoU, we aim to broaden and deepen our cooperation in the smart grid business, jointly develop innovative solutions, and leverage cutting-edge technologies to create new services and businesses.”

Huawei shared its power grid digitalization solutions and success stories around the world. Looking to the future, Huawei will continue its 'Platform + Ecosystem' strategy, with a focus on the power industry and digital technologies. The company will work with Precise to create more value for power customers in Thailand in an effort to help build a green and sustainable society and fulfil its commitment to "Grow in Thailand, and Contribute to Thailand."
