MEA offers new ‘EV Home Charger with KEN’ promotion at Motor Show

The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) is offering a free 2,000-baht Central Gift Card with ‘EV Home Charger with KEN’ promotion EV charger home installations only available at the Motor Show.

MEA Deputy Governor Jaturong Suriyasasin, stated: “MEA, a state-owned enterprise promoting clean energy consumption and electric vehicle (EV) adoption, not only focuses on electricity distribution but also offers ‘KEN by MEA’, a new electricity installation system for high-quality, maximum public safety EV home charger installations.” 

In keeping with the emerging EV trend, MEA has launched a special promotion for the first 40 customers at the Motor Show 2023, during 22 March to 2 April 2023, to request installation of an EV home charger. Eligible customers are entitled to a 2,000-baht Central Gift Card and other perks and can register for more information at https://www.mea.or.th/minisite/ken/news/detail/1001/134 and make enquiries about KEN by MEA via MEA Call Centre 1130.  

Electricity system installation for EV home chargers under ‘KEN by MEA’ comprises two packages: electricity charger size 7.4 kW 1 Phase and 22 kW 3 Phase. Both packages cover installation of a second main line, main overcurrent protection device Main CB 40A, residual current protective device (RCD) Type B 40A, and grounding system. 

KEN by MEA aims to raise the home charger safety level above general installation standard. Services provided by MEA further focus on the sufficiency of the electrical system for EV Home Charger use, including meter size recommendation. Plus installation of electrical connection equipment including junction boxes, electrical conduits, and cable fixing equipment as well as consultation by expert engineers and a 24-hour hotline for any outrage issues. 

KEN by MEA by MEA comprises: EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction), PM (Preventive Maintenance), Solar Cell, and; EV Charger services. The services are provided by technical specialists working to professional standards with safety uppermost in mind. Advance installation system testing is available as well as providing precise advice on any issues related to electricity users’ comfort and the highest electricity consumption safety standards.
