‘Titan Capital’ organises “Titan Shares Food, Shares Happiness, and Brings Smiles to the Community”

The latest corporate social responsibility event takes place at Subtarri Village, Chanthaburi

Titan Capital Group Holding Co., Ltd., along with its affiliated companies, and employees, organised a corporate social responsibility (CSR) event as part of its “Titan Shares Food, Shares Happiness, and Brings Smiles to the Community” profect.

The project aims to provide funds for the sufficiency economy project, and provide nutrition for students in the form of lunches in order to make them healthy and secure. It also aims to promote sustainable tourism in the community through the “Little Guide at Soi Dao” project.

The event was attended by the provincial government, military staff, police officers, the village security team, teachers, students and teachers at Bansubtarri School, community leaders, and individuals at Subtarri Village, Soi Dao District, Chanthaburi Province on March 28-29, 2023.

Mr. Tantai Narongkoon, Chief Executive Officer of Titan Capital Group Holding Co., Ltd., said it was an honor to be the organiser of the CSR event at Bansubtarri School. “The project operated under the United Nations (UN)’s framework called the Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs No. 2: Zero Hunger, Bringing an End to Hunger, Achieving Food Stability,” he said. “The goal corresponds to the company’s policies that focus on good corporate governance and conducting business with social responsibility.”

“Titan Shares Food, Shares Happiness, and Brings Smiles to the Community is a good project organised with the purpose of providing the school with an agricultural learning venue and a sustainable food source at the same time. Titan Capital has provided funds for the realisation of the projects so that it can be used for school lunch, including the growth of organic vegetables, establishment of a non-chemical mushroom greenhouse, duck farming, chicken farming, and fish farming in order to add nutrition to school lunches.”

“Moreover, we provide funds to support ‘Little Guide at Soi Dao’ project to make ‘Subtarri’ a new tourist attraction in the future filled with abundant natural resources, and communities with distinct cultural identities. Children who participated in the project had the opportunity to sharpen their knowledge and skills and improve their communication skills to such an extent that they could explain anandell local stories. One day they could become professional tour guide and continue to encourage local communities to earn income from the tourism sector in a sustainable manner.”

“The company would like to thank all of the agencies for their contribution toward completing the project. After this, Titan Capital will take part in monitoring and evaluating the project result, together with the school committee. We are also ready to keep on with sustainable development projects in other areas because we believe that the power of sharing is the power of sustainable provision.”

As for the activities at the event at Bansubtarri School. We had done various activities with many students and people in the community such as visiting a bunker and learning about Subtarri history. The activities were led by the little tour guide at Soi Dao. The company also participated in fun activities with the children, gave educational equipment, and prepared lunch for them. We also participated in planting vegetables on organic-vegetable plots, collecting eggs, harvesting mushrooms, and releasing fish into the farm ponds.

After that, the team visited new natural attractions in Chanthaburi which were known for their sacredness. For example, we visited “Khao Rakhang.” The place boasted its natural rock in the mountain with a resonant sound like a church bell. We also visited another attraction which boasted “a rock shaped like a herd of elephants.” The rock looked like a herd of elephants, and it could be spotted exuding a beam of light that resembled the head of the King of Naga at night. We visited Khao Tham Phra Tunnel as well. Before the return trip, they also visited Khlong Chaeng Temple (Khao Chaeng Beng Temple) to pay homage to the white-jade Buddha statue weighing 6 tons and the green sandstone Buddha statue weighing 140 tons in one segment, the largest in Thailand. The event concluded with a joint planting of auspicious trees supported by the Chanthaburi Plant Nursery Center (Phang Ngon) at Khlong Chaeng Temple (Khao Chaeng Beng Temple), Saton Sub-district, Soi Dao District, Chanthaburi Province.
