Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has achieved a significant milestone in its mission to connect and empower the people of Indonesia after completing the merger in January 2022. Through a world-class collaboration with global technology partners, Indosat successfully completed 100% network integration across 46,000 sites within one year, surpassing the initial schedule. To acknowledge the remarkable contributions of all parties involved, Indosat organised the prestigious MOCN Partner Awards, honouring the exceptional performance and support of its partners in one of the largest and fastest network integration projects ever undertaken.

Indosat recognised its main partner, Huawei, with the Best Customer Experience Partner Award, in recognition of their outstanding performance in enhancing customer experience. This accolade highlights the dedication, technical expertise, and collaborative efforts of key partners in overcoming challenges and meeting the targets of the MOCN integration project.

The seamless network integration, accomplished ahead of schedule, is a testament to Indosat's commitment to delivering a world-class digital experience to its customers and connecting communities across Indonesia. Vikram Sinha, President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, expressed his gratitude, stating, "The completion of network integration is a springboard towards achieving that mission, and with the support of all strategic partners, we have accomplished this grand ambition in just one year. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the teams involved in making this possible."

Hailong Guo, CEO of Huawei Indonesia, acknowledged the challenges of integrating networks on a large scale and within a short time frame, particularly considering Indonesia's geographical conditions. "However, we are delighted to collaborate with Indosat to overcome these challenges, meet the targets of the MOCN integration project, and achieve significant milestones. As a leading global ICT solution provider with extensive experience in over 170 countries and regions, Huawei will continue to innovate and support the development and digital transformation of Indonesia's telecommunications industry." Bali Island, built by Huawei after the merger, is now leading in performance in the IOH network, according to Ookla Speedtest.

Vikram concluded that network integration is part of Indosat's commitment to deliver a marvellous experience to all customers. "Moving forward, Indosat will continue to expand its network throughout Indonesia because we believe that inclusive internet access will unlock various untapped potentials and improve the nation's economy in the near future."
