Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA of Taiwan and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) are making a grand opening of TAIWAN EXPO 2023 in Thailand under the theme "Let's T-AI Together", aiming to serve as a platform to promote bilateral trade between Thailand and Taiwan. In the event, more than 170 leading Taiwanese companies are exhibiting their innovative products and solutions in five industry sections, including Smart City, Smart Medical, Electric Vehicle (EV), Circular Economy, and Intelligent Lifestyle. TAIWAN EXPO 2023 is being showcased on July 20-22, 2023 at 10:00 - 18:00 hrs. at Hall 100, BITEC.
Mr. James C. F. Huang, Chairman, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said that TAIWAN EXPO 2023 is being held for the fifth time in Thailand under the theme "Let's T-AI Together". The word “T-AI” has a similar pronunciation similar to Thailand, Taiwan and Tie. This word is used to present the good relationship between Thailand and Taiwan, and long-term economic and cultural cooperation which reflects the purpose of the event which aims to be a bilateral trading platform between the two countries through the exhibition of innovative products and solutions that fulfill requirements of every industry and Thai people. Moreover, the word "T-AI" is also representing the concept of Thailand and Taiwan together to shape the future of the smart city with AI.
TAIWAN EXPO 2023 brings together more than 170 leading companies from Taiwan to showcase innovative products and the latest solutions, comprising 5 main industry sections: Smart City - presenting technologies used to create a smart city for a better quality of life of people; Smart Medical - responding to the healthcare trends and telemedicine system; Electric Vehicle (EV) - offering cutting-edge solutions in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry; Circular Economy - showcasing products that are made by renewable sources, or using recycled materials to create a sustainable economy; and Intelligent Lifestyle - providing a wide range of products that help facilitate daily life of people.
In addition, there are also the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion which gathers products that have been awarded the Taiwan Excellence Awards from the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA of Taiwan, Taipei City Pavilion, and Kaohsiung City Pavilion which introduces the highlights of the city, known as one of the major port cities of Taiwan in terms of economy, investment, as well as Taiwanese cultural performance activities which act as a bridge enabling Thai people to gain access to Taiwan closely in all dimensions.
Furthermore, outstanding activities that draw the attention of a large number of participants each year include Industry Forums and Product Launch Conferences. There are interesting industry forum topics in a variety of industries including investment in Taiwan, electric vehicles, smart cities and smart healthcare, and a highlight of the seminar which don’t miss, “The Future of Manufacturing: Embracing 5G Private Network, Industry 4.0 & ESG” by speakers from Chunghwa Company, Taiwan's No. 1 telecommunication service provider. There are also one-on-one business match meetings, with the aim to encourage entrepreneurs and business operators in Thai industries to have access to industry news and catch up with technology trends in order to expand growth and seek new business opportunities.
