Socialise and Join Workshops with Dusit Thani College

Bangkok Post, Thailand's leading English-language media, recently had the opportunity to socialise and participate in workshops at Dusit Thani College, an educational institution specialised in the hospitality business under Dusit International, in celebration of the college's 30th anniversary.

The program included a luncheon at The Chinese Restaurant, Dusit Princess Srinakarin Hotel Bangkok, where attendees were warmly welcomed by Frouke Gerbens, Rector of Dusit Thani College, and the Department of Public Relations. The event featured a cocktail mixing workshop led by instructors from the Hotel Management Program and a Madeleine baking workshop conducted by instructors from the Culinary Arts Program. Participants also had the chance to take a tour inside the college, showcasing the profound learning methods employed to develop high-quality workers for Thailand's tourism and hospitality industry.

Frouke Gerbens, the Rector of Dusit Thani College, stated that the college was founded based on the resolution of Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, the founder of Dusit Thani Hotel. As the first and only specialised educational institution in the hospitality industry in Thailand, the college has been contributing to the education of hospitality students for 30 years. Throughout this journey, the college has consistently evolved its curricula to meet diverse demands, offering Bachelor programs and a Master program. The signature Bachelor of Business Administration Programs, available in both Thai and International programs, cover hotel management and culinary arts knowledge, while the Master program focuses on business administration (MBA) in the hospitality industry. The college also offers short courses for the general public and recently launched the Dusit Hospitality Academy (DHA), a flexible certificate program providing 3, 6, or 9 months of professional training for individuals interested in starting, transitioning, or excelling in hospitality businesses.

"We cannot deny that the progress of the college partly relies on the support from the media. The information about the college shared by every media outlet has created exposure and international recognition, as we can witness today. That's why we organised this activity to express our gratitude for all the support they have provided," said Frouke Gerbens.

The Rector of Dusit Thani College emphasised that the college is committed to continuously developing its education in accordance with current trends and international standards. Furthermore, it remains dedicated to broader missions beyond education, such as fostering the development of the hospitality industry, society, and community, as well as prioritising environmental protection and sustainability.
