TOA's Sustainability Mission: 2 Million Trees Plantation by 2034

TOA launches "TOA SAVE US SAVE EARTH" Reforestation for Ecosystem Restoration and Sustainability 2023, towards planting 2 million trees for achieving net zero emissions by 2050

TOA affirms the commitment to green business operations following the ESG framework with the purpose of elevating the organisation's sustainability and promoting long-term business growth to accomplish Net Zero by 2050.

The "TOA SAVE US SAVE EARTH" project has been launched to plant over 2 million trees by 2034, positioning TOA as a global advocate for increasing green environment. The sustainable forest and ecosystem restoration programs with 200 botanic plants, including the golden shower tree, apple blossom tree, fire of Pakistan, rosy trumpet tree, tree of gold, queen's crape myrtle, trumpet tree, and tamarind, are aiming to mitigate carbon-emission footprints and address long-term climate changes. The event was attended by over 200 trade partners, executive board members, and volunteer staff.

Mr.Jatuphat Tangkaravakoon, Chief Executive Officer of TOA Paint (Thailand) Public Company Limited or TOA, stated, "The company has been committed to society that our sustainability development strategy and its execution are following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG frameworks in order to sustainably achieve the sustainable approaches of organisation while promoting long-term business growth to reach Net Zero by 2050. The 'TOA SAVE US SAVE EARTH' campaign is, therefore, moving forward to accomplishment on the reforestation program with 2 million trees by 2034."

"TOA SAVE US SAVE EARTH" is recognised as a significant project empowering ESG Sustainability Development in the environmental aspect. The company vows to continue its efforts in green transition and transformation into a Net Zero organisation by 2050 with reforestation projects aimed at increasing green environment, restoring the environment, and creating a sustainable ecosystem. Through these ongoing initiatives, TOA intends to reduce the impacts caused by climate change and limit the rising temperature of the earth not over than 1.5°C. To prevent the onset of a global temperature crisis, TOA has implemented the green measures and proceeded several systematic actions, including adopting renewable solar energy, reducing fossil fuel usage, promoting electric vehicles, maximising production capacity, developing green innovations to promote health and safety, as well as reforestation for sustainable ecosystem and greenhouse gas storage, which contribute to bring the world a safer and better place.

TOA's commitment to increasing the green areas by planting 2 million trees by 2034 is being carried out hand in hand with the Department of Forest and trade alliances. The first reforestation project on a 740-rai estate will be undertaken in Nam Som District in the northwestern part of Udon Thani province and Pak Chom District in Loei by August 2023. The initiative marks the first step in restoring depleted forestry and creating a sustainable ecosystem, while also adding the values of the land utilization to be beneficial to local communities, as intentionally established in the plan.
