UOB Thailand demonstrates its unwavering commitment to societal progress by rallying employees to support the Thai Red Cross Society’s Language Literacy Project. This project aims to empower underprivileged children through improved reading and writing skills, aligning with literacy standards set by the Office of the Basic Education Commission.
As a part of UOB Heartbeat Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, this endeavour strongly aligns with the bank’s dedicated focus on Art, Children, and Education. The accomplishment of raising over 1.2 million baht underscores UOB’s commitment to nurturing more resilient and future-ready communities.
Ms. Sasiwimol Arayawattanapong, Executive Director, Country Function Head of Human Resources, UOB Thailand, said, “We are immensely proud to witness our UOB family unite for this meaningful cause. Their fundraising endeavours have not only highlighted our commitment to fostering an environment where employees can express their creativity but have also underscored their dedication to our bank’s core values. We hope to inspire more people to give back to the community as we keep the good going.”
The funds raised will be strategically deployed by the Thai Red Cross Society to extend educational support to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. These students will receive educational relief packages containing Thai language learning materials, equipment, and essential supplies. Additionally, the Thai Red Cross Society volunteers will conduct classes to enhance their language proficiency.
