Nestled in the heart of Bangkok's vibrant arts scene, a hidden treasure awaits to enchant your senses. "Know Your Worth: A Cabaret" is a brief yet poignant collection of songs that delve deep into the intricate relationship between the human psyche and our ever-evolving capitalist society. This captivating musical journey will come to life at Room 401, Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (BACC), as a distinguished feature of the Bangkok Theatre Festival 2023. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable experience on Saturday, November 18th, and Sunday, November 19th, from 15:40 to 16:00.

"Know Your Worth: A Cabaret" is not just a performance; it's a delightful blend of comedy and playfulness, with a dash of whimsy and satire. The majority of the show is a light-hearted exploration of our intricate dance with capitalism, featuring moments that will leave you chuckling and tapping your feet to the catchy tunes. Conceived by the Thai musical theatre writer-producer, Lalit Sritara, in collaboration with Tidtaya Sinutoke, Alexander Ronneburg, Christopher Bullé-Goyri, and Daphny Maman.

The story of Lalit and Tidtaya is one of artistic serendipity. These two Thai musical theatre writers, who met through the New York University Tisch School of the Arts network, bring a wealth of talent to the stage. Tidtaya, a recipient of prestigious musical theatre awards in the US, such as the Jonathan Larson Grant, Billie Burke Ziegfeld Award, and Fred Ebb Award, and Lalit, a pioneer in redefining the musical landscape with playful works like "TIMELINE the Musical" and "Mahanakhon On Stage" at Bangkok Design Week, join hands with their collaborators to craft an intimate space where artistry beautifully intertwines with reflections on our existence within a commercialised world.

Guiding this thought-provoking journey is Tarin Prinyaknit, a name synonymous with excellence in the world of theatre. Tarin's impressive journey began when he received a scholarship from the Italian government to study Opera Directing at Verona Accademia per l’Opera. Tarin's extensive experience as an assistant director at renowned venues like Arena di Verona and Teatro Regio di Torino in Italy has finely honed his artistic sensibilities. Later, his talents were recognised with the IATC Best Musical Award (2020-2022) for his Thai setting of "L'elisir d'amore." With this background, he ensures that the performance transcends boundaries, taking the audience to emotional and intellectual depths beyond imagination.

At the cabaret, you'll be graced with performances by a cast that oozes talent and passion. Adam Kaokept, with his Broadway experience in monumental shows like Aladdin and Miss Saigon, is set to dazzle. Nisha Rodanant, a versatile artist and the winner of "The Next Boy/Girl Band Thailand" (2018), brings her charismatic presence to the stage. Also stepping into the limelight are the vibrant Bussayapat Aunchittikul and the multifaceted Peravich Punnatrakul. These two performers, known for their Thai-dubbing credits for Disney animated films, bring a wealth of experience and talent to the stage. Together, they promise to weave a rich tapestry of vocal brilliance and theatrical prowess, adding depth and dimension to this extraordinary performance. Their performances are guided by the impeccable musical direction of Kawirat Saimek, ensuring harmony and expression merge seamlessly.
