LiuGong, a prominent construction machinery manufacturer in the Asia Pacific region, hosted the inaugural LiuGong Asia Pacific Technical Skills Competition to showcase its exceptional craftsmanship. This event aligns with their plans for the Customer Experience Center in Thailand and the expansion of manufacturing facilities across the region.
Mr. Xiang Dongsheng, Deputy General Manager of LiuGong Machinery Asia Pacific, disclosed that LiuGong successfully organised the 1st LiuGong Asia Pacific Technical Skills Competition on October 19-20, 2023, at the headquarters of LiuGong Yontrakarn Co., Ltd. in Ayutthaya Province. The primary aim was to identify the most skilled LiuGong technicians in the region.
The LiuGong Asia Pacific Technical Skills Competition is part of a global campaign designed to enhance the reputation of the LiuGong Asia Pacific service brand and demonstrate the professionalism of LiuGong technicians and after-sales teams to customers and stakeholders. This competition serves as an opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers and business partners in the Asia Pacific region. Over 200 technicians from LiuGong and its dealers in countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, and Taiwan China participated in the competition. They underwent both theoretical and practical tests, encompassing three critical areas: 1) accurate diagnosis of machine faults, 2) the speed and precision of core component disassembly, and 3) the complete machine delivery handover.
The competition winners are as follows: Mr. Zhu Puyu from Thailand (1st Prize Winner), Mr. Komsun Juto from Thailand (2nd Prize Winner), and Mr. Thieu Manh Cuong from Vietnam (3rd Prize Winner). These winners will represent the LiuGong Asia Pacific region at the 6th LiuGong Global Technical Skills Competition, hosted by LiuGong headquarters in November, where they will have the chance to win a USD 10,000 prize.

LiuGong Asia Pacific has remained dedicated to delivering a "Fast, Professional, and Friendly" service experience to industry customers. Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Philippines. Furthermore, through collaboration with Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) and Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College, LiuGong established the LiuGong-LVTC-PIM Training Center, their first international craftsman academy abroad.
Mr. Xiang Dongsheng emphasised, "In 2024, in addition to improving product quality, marketing, and after-sales services, LiuGong is prepared to expand the Call Center network to cover the entire region and enhance the academy's capabilities. We also plan to construct a 1,000-square-meter Customer Experience Center in Pattaya, along with three more assembly centres and three additional manufacturing facilities. These initiatives will further enhance our service capabilities for customers in the Asia Pacific."
