INHPF 2023: Thailand Spearheads Global Health Promotion Initiatives

Thailand to host the 20th INHPF Annual Meeting in November, strengthening international health promotion efforts.

The International Network of Health Promotion Foundations (INHPF), led by Sandro Demaio, President, in collaboration with The Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth), has unveiled a bold mission to foster global health promotion efficiency across nations worldwide. Established in 2000, INHPF has remained steadfast in its dedication to promoting health through the utilisation of health promotion funds and providing support to countries seeking to establish health promotion fund resource hubs. The initiative also involves collaborative efforts with esteemed international partners, including the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA), and the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE).

Dr. Sandro announced, "The INHPF network currently comprises seven organisations from six countries, including:

The Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (Network President)

Thai Health Promotion Foundation (Network General-Secretary)

The Western Australian Health Promotion Foundation

Korea Health Promotion Institute

Taiwan Health Promotion Administration

Tonga Health Promotion Foundation (Treasury)

Singapore Health Promotion Board.

Together, these organisations are pooling their efforts to drive forward international health promotion."

Dr. Supreeda Adulyanon, Manager of Thai Health Promotion Foundation, emphasised, "Thai Health Promotion Foundation has been a longstanding partner of INHPF since its inception, actively participating in supporting the ProLEAD program. We are committed to fulfilling dynamic network missions aimed at establishing sustainable financial innovation systems that encourage health promotion on a global scale. We have also extended our warm welcome to survey groups from more than ten countries, sharing our experiences and knowledge on the global stage, including at events such as the WHO Global Conference on Health Promotion and the IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion, in addition to hosting the annual INHPF Annual Meeting worldwide."

Dr. Supreeda went on to announce, "In 2023, Thai Health Promotion Foundation is honoured to host the 20th INHPF Annual Meeting from November 7th to 10th, 2023, at the ThaiHealth Centre, located in Soi Ngamduplee, Thung Maha Mek, Sathorn, Bangkok." The conference, themed "The Next Step of INHPF: Accelerating Health Promotion Innovations towards Equitable Well-being," is designed to bolster INHPF's capacity by sharing knowledge and experiences, fostering international collaborations, and reaffirming INHPF's commitment to advancing local health promotion campaigns within the framework of global health missions. The event will also feature presentations showcasing Thailand's health promotion innovations and outstanding achievements.
