Thailand has become a global hub for automobile production and export, with a capacity to produce approximately two million motorcycles annually.
Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Deputy Secretary General of the Board of Investment, highlighted the government's policy to promote electric vehicles (EVs) in Thailand, with the goal of having zero-emission vehicles constitute at least 30% of total automotive production by 2030. To achieve this goal, the government offers incentives to electric motorcycle manufacturers to establish production lines in Thailand. Currently, five entities have received investment promotion, collectively producing over 300,000 electric motorcycles.
