Supermodel Barbara Palvin is Longines’ newest Ambassador of Elegance

Inspired by her innate elegance and natural charisma, Longines is delighted to welcome internationally acclaimed Hungarian model Barbara Palvin as its new Ambassador of Elegance. As casual as she is refined, as accessible as she is striking, Barbara has an undeniably refreshing take on elegance.

“We are thrilled to announce that Barbara Palvin has become an Ambassador of Elegance. Her noteworthy presence at the launch of the Mini DolceVita last year in New York already actually set the tone for this successful collaboration to come. She is a pure expression of what true elegance is, but more than that, she embodies the contemporary and bold woman we have in mind when we create our products. Barbara is positive and radiant and her original take on elegance will add something very special to our future global campaigns,” commented Matthias Breschan, CEO of Longines.

Barbara Palvin is also looking forward to her journey with Longines. She says: “Joining the prestigious family of Longines Ambassadors of Elegance is a real honour for me, as the value of innate elegance the brand stands for truly resonates with me, in every facet of my life. I cannot wait to develop this exciting partnership with the Longines team and I thank them for the trust they put in me representing the brand all over the world.”

Longines’ Ambassadors of Elegance are distinguished not only with their professional accomplishments but also with unique personal qualities that set them apart from the crowd, and with her unique background, Barbara is an ideal new member of the family.

Sports Illustrated named Barbara its “Rookie of the Year” in 2016 and three years later, she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Models.com ranks her 14th on its much-talked-about Money List and Social List and she has distinguished herself with some of her profession’s most coveted awards. She was the Glamour Women of the Year winner in the Best Model category in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and she twice won the Fashion Awards, in 2011 and 2012. At the Elle Style Awards, she was honoured as International Model in 2021 and in the same year, was GQ’s Model of the Year in Spain.

Barbara has also been recognised for her philanthropic activities and has a particular interest in raising awareness of the need for water points and purification systems in the world’s water-scarce regions.

When her busy schedule allows a bit of time off, Barbara travels home to Budapest to spend time with her family. She enjoys fishing and, as she spent much of her childhood in the countryside, she makes a point of staying close to nature. In contrast with her life on the most prestigious fashion runways in the world, Barbara is an avid reader and loves to cook, and is known among her friends and family as a lover of animals.

Alongside her modelling activities, Barbara has lately taken an interest in acting and has already appeared on the big screen in Herkules (2014), Tyger Tyger (2019), and most recently, the short film Serpentine in 2023.
