Sombat Permpoon Gallery, a beacon of Thai art representing the nation's leading, modern, and contemporary artists, is delighted to announce its 45th-anniversary celebration. Founded in 1979, the gallery stands as one of Thailand's most expansive, hosting a vast collection of Thai modern art.
Situated at 12 Sukhumvit Soi 1, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana District, Bangkok, the gallery occupies a 6-storey building, sprawling across 3,000 square metres in the city's heart.
The ground floor offers a vibrant space showcasing paintings and sculptures by Thailand's foremost artists and adept painters. The second floor, covering 400 square metres, serves as a venue for art-related events. The third floor is dedicated to the works of three Thai master artists: Ajarn Thawan Duchanee, Ajarn Prayat Phongdam, and Ajarn Wora Rit Rittakhanee. The fourth floor features exhibitions by established modern and contemporary artists, while the fifth floor highlights contributions from artists pivotal to Thai art history.
