TAG Heuer Marks Anniversary with New Carrera Launch

Celebrating its first year in Thailand, TAG Heuer unveils the Carrera Chronograph 'Panda' at The House on Sathorn.

TAG Heuer, the Swiss luxury watchmaker, proudly commemorated its first anniversary in Thailand with an evening celebration on 16 May 2024. The event, held at The House on Sathorn, marked the launch of the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph ‘Panda’ dial from Watches & Wonders 2024, introduced for the first time in Thailand. Brice Tchaplyguine, Managing Director of TAG Heuer Asia Pacific, flew in to celebrate this important occasion, alongside celebrities such as Dew-Jirawat, Prim-Chanikarn, and Blue-Pongtiwat, as well as many honoured guests.

On this special occasion, TAG Heuer showcased watches from the TAG Heuer Carrera collection at The House on Sathorn. The display featured two Heuer Carrera timepieces and two new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph watches launched in 2024, including the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph in Teal Green dial and the newest TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph with a 'Panda' dial, unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2024 in April. These elegant timepieces were made available for Thai enthusiasts to experience and purchase.

The highlights of the newest TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph include a 39mm steel case. This exceptional timepiece blends historical reverence with cutting-edge design, propelling the renowned TAG Heuer Carrera collection to new heights. The black azuré subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock contrast with the silver sunray-brushed dial, creating the signature bi-compax panda look, reminiscent of the celebrated Carrera 60th Anniversary model launched in January 2023.

To commemorate this memorable event, TAG Heuer also exhibited the brand’s history alongside the Carrera Heritage collections. These included the Heuer Carrera 1968 – a watch, chronograph, and calendar 'DATO' combined, which was a revelation in 1965 – and the Heuer Carrera 1964, named after the legendary Mexican road race Carrera Panamericana. The special display also featured novelties from Watches & Wonders 2024, such as the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph with a tribute to the iconic ‘DATO’ design and the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph embracing the rebirth of a legend with the 39mm Panda look.

The remarkable celebration night of TAG Heuer's first anniversary in Thailand saw important guests, including the TAG Heuer management team and celebrities, attending the event at The House on Sathorn. Dew-Jirawat Sutivanichsak wore the newest TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph featuring a 'Panda' dial, arriving in a Porsche Taycan in Jet Black Metallic to complement his handsome and calm look. Prim-Chanikarn Tangkabodee, striking with a TAG Heuer Carrera Date in a bold pink dial, appeared at the event in a Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive in Volcano White Metallic. Young actor Blue-Pongtiwat Tangwancharoen wore the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 'Glassbox' in a signature blue dial with a matching blue calfskin strap, arriving in a Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive in Volcano Grey Metallic. This emphasised the long-lasting relationship with the sports car brand Porsche, which celebrated this special evening with Porsche cars parked in front of The House on Sathorn.
