Booking.com has released new research, with insights gathered from more than 30,000 travellers across 32 countries and territories, highlighting that the impact of their trips remains top of mind, with 88% of Thai travellers saying that they want more sustainable travel over the coming 12 months, which is a 10% increase over what was surfaced through the company's 2021 data.
Some 94% of travellers confirmed that sustainable travel is important to them, and three-quarters of all respondents cited that recent news on climate change has influenced them to make more sustainable travel choices.
To that end, 67% of Thai travellers said sustainability efforts by hotels and transport providers play a significant role in their travel decisions. In fact, 90% of Thai travellers said they would prefer to stay in a hotel with strong sustainable policies.
Six Senses tops hotel list
Three new Six Senses resorts were recently named the Best New Hotels in the World by The Travel + Leisure It List, which spotlights the hotels and resorts that have made the biggest impression by editors and contributors.
The three resorts are Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, India; Six Senses Shaharut in Negev Desert, Israel; and Six Senses Ibiza in Spain.

China city transforms into sea of pink
Thousands of hectares of peach trees are blooming in China's Pinggu District, turning a large portion of the eastern part of the city into a sea of pink.
Pinggu District is a conservation area located in the northeast of Beijing, at the junction of Beijing, Tianjin city and Hebei province.
