National artist Charin Nantanakorn will return the stage for two rounds of spectacular performance in the Main Hall of Thailand Cultural Centre, Ratchadaphisek Road, on Aug 3 and 4 at 2pm.

At "Charin In Concert No.18: The Land Of Love", the beloved singer will delight long-time fans with a selection of legendary songs from the golden era of contemporary Thai music in the 1960s and 1970s.

Charin's set is crowd-pleasing collection of award-winning songs and popular tunes from musicals, movies and soap operas. These include Mae Haeng Pandin, Phukradueng, Hua Hin Sin Mon Rak, Young Koy, Nuan Prang Nang Mhong, Yam Duek, Sai Lom Nue, Kwanjai Kon Jon, Rak Thae and Phu Chana Sip Thit.

The veteran vocalist will be joined by a string of guests. Fellow crooner Ruangthong Thonglanthom will serenade the audience with Mon Rak Asoon, Panan and Roy Monthin; actress Jarunee Suksawat will be singing favourites Phrom Likit, Jong Rak and Lok Nee Kue Lakorn; Christy Gibson, an Anglo-Dutch singer who performs molam and luk thung; actress Pimdao Panichsamai; and honoured guest Boonkiat Chokwattana.

The composers' inspirations and the backgrounds to each song will also be recounted through mixed media presentation and aesthetic dancing, enhanced by a light and sound system.

Providing the background music will be the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Nora-ath Chanklum.

Tickets cost 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 baht and can be purchased from Thai Ticket Major outlets. Part of the proceeds will go to the Cultural Promotion Fund, Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture.
