Two heartwarming Christmas classics, Miracle on 34th Street and It's A Wonderful Life, will return to the big screen once again this Christmas week at Silom's niche cinema Bangkok Screening Room (BKKSR), between Dec 24 to 27, just in time to celebrate the holiday season, and bid farewell to 2020.

People watch their favourite Christmas movies again and again within every holiday season, but they don't always have the chance to see these great movies on the big screen. Join BKKSR for the special movie screenings to get into the Christmas spirit, plus check out other screenings from the cinema's special season greetings programme throughout December. All titles showing with Thai subtitles.

Miracle On 34th Street (1947)

Director George Seaton

For more than 70 years, George Seaton's comedy drama has always been a go-to holiday classic. Starring Maureen O'Hara, John Payne, Edmund Gwenn, and Natalie Wood, Miracle on 34th Street is set between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and follows a wise little girl, her nonbeliever mom, and their neighbour as they defend the existence of Santa Claus when a department store Santa called Kris Kringle claims to be the real magical red-suited man. Miracle On 34th Street is indeed the kind of spirited, heartwarming movie that comes with an air of magic realism that continues to cast a spell over generations of Christmas movie fans.

It's A Wonderful Life (1946)

Director Frank Capra

It's A Wonderful Life. It's A Wonderful Life

A drama fantasy film with a story of redemption and second chances, It's A Wonderful Life stars James Stewart as George Bailey, a man who's come to the end of his rope one Christmas Eve. George had always wanted to leave his hometown Bedford Falls to see the world, but with some circumstances have forced him to stay and sacrificed his dreams for his family. As he prepares to jump from a bridge, his guardian angel shows up and lets him see what the town of Bedford Falls would have become if he had never lived. It's a Wonderful Life is considered one of the greatest films of all time. It was nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and has been recognised by the American Film Institute as one of the 100 best American films ever made.
