Siam Society is holding a lecture on "One Planet, One Chance", conducted by Joakim Odelberg, one of Sweden's most respected conservation film and photojournalists, producers and underwater filmmakers, on March 21 at 7pm.

Storytelling is a powerful tool for raising awareness about conservation. By crafting compelling narratives, one can create emotional connections and foster public engagement in ways that facts and statistics cannot alone achieve.

In this lecture, Odelberg exemplifies the impactful use of narrative, addressing crucial environmental issues such as endangered species, coral bleaching, and plastic pollution's impact on marine life.

His projects and lectures effectively convey the urgency of these issues, serving as a call to action by inspiring collective action towards environmental stewardship and sustainable living.

In sparking important conversation topics surrounding the climate crisis, he's currently focusing his attention on the environmental challenges faced in Thailand and he is eager to use his platform to help build a more sustainable future.

Through the lens of photojournalism and storytelling, his unique approach emphasises emotional connection, which catalyses fostering empathy and driving positive change in land and sea conservation efforts globally.

Odelberg is also a renowned lecturer and content creator who has lectured throughout Sweden and internationally.

The fee is 300 baht (free for members and students). To book a seat, email pinthip@thesiamsociety.org or call 02-661-6470--3 ext 203.
