Three world renowned German musicians will give masterclasses and concerts during a music festival in Bangkok next week.

Talented musicians from Germany will join the first ‘German Masters Music Festival 2014’ in Bangkok from Feb 25-28.

Held for the first time at Goethe Institute and Silpakorn University’s Faculty of Music from Feb 25-28, the “German Masters Music Festival 2014” will feature two soloists from the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne — clarinettist Nicola Jurgensen and trumpeter Peter Monkediek — and Premysl Vojta, a solo hornist with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.

The four-day event will see the trio taking turns conducting masterclasses for music teachers and music lovers. They will also perform alongside Silpakorn faculty members during the “German Masters ‘Virtuoso’” concert, which will take place at Silpakorn University, Talingchan campus, on Feb 26 at 7.30pm.  Tickets cost 100 baht (50 baht for students).

The festival will conclude with the final round of the “Thailand International French Horn Competition 2014” at Goethe Institute, Sathon Tai Road, on Feb 28 at 7.30pm.
