From its humble beginnings in Siam Square, Chaba Nails & Spa this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, and is marking the milestone with an exclusive collaboration with Furla.

Chaba has expanded to 11 branches in Bangkok, each with its own character to match different customer profiles.

"Due to the limited space, the first Chaba Nails & Spa could not accommodate all our clients," said Teerawut Chinwongvisarn, CEO of Chaba Nails & Spa. "We opened another branch in Siam Square One. Each has an ambience that harmonises with the location's vibe. Chaba Nails & Eyelashes Pro in Gaysorn Village, meanwhile, has a serene setting, for clients who seek privacy and a luxurious experience."

The Gaysorn Village branch and its operations impressed Furla's executives, leading to a collaboration between the Italian luxury goods company, famed for its coveted handbags, and Chaba Nails & Eyelashes Pro.

Dainty gel nail painting is inspired by Furla's hallmark white, cream and gold. Chaba x Furla nails are created with a gel polish in sophisticated colours, their tips are adorned with tiny pieces of crushed shell.

"The colour scheme reflects with the interior of Chaba Nails & Eyelashes Pro in Gaysorn Village," said Teerawut. "The two brands share a feminine, elegant, luxurious image, and this is reflected in the design of the nail painting."

The cross-branding strategy provides Furla customers with a 1,500 baht cash voucher to primp their nails. Likewise, Chaba customers, who spend at least 2,500 baht, will receive a 1,000 baht cash voucher to shop at the Furla store in Gaysorn Village.

"Furla has entrusted us with offering their customers a new experience and beautiful nails. The collaboration is about sharing expertise and enhancing customers' experiences," he said.

Chaba Nails & Spa first became popular for its nail art, particularly by using Japanese glitter, in 2009.

Today, customers are also spoiled for choice with regard to gel polish, nail colouring and nail extensions, as shown on Chaba's Instagram and LINE accounts. The trending cat's-eye look, for instance, is created with a magnetic nail polish and magnet stick.

The Thai brand has established an academy to encourage creativity and dexterity in nail painting, and to provide training for manicures, pedicures and eyelash extensions. Following a similar process for facial treatments, the signature manicures and pedicures are performed with products by OPI, a leader in the professional nail care industry.

These services are also available as a la carte or packages at the flagship Chaba Nails & Eyelashes Pro in Gaysorn Village.
