Due to Covid-19 risk, Neilson Hays Library will once again hold its bi-annual book sale in a reduced capacity and cover three weekends from Saturday to Nov 22.

Held inside the Garden Café, the book sale will feature a variety of fiction and non-fiction second-hand books in English and Thai as well as selected titles in French and German. Most of the books have either been donated by library supporters or were taken from library shelves.

Whether you prefer science fiction, the latest thrillers, art, science or philosophy, the book sale will have something for you. There will also be a lovely selection for children and some stunning old and rare books. Prices start at 20 baht.

Due to limited space in the café, only 10 visitors will be allowed at a time. Only the books out in the café space will be for sale, however, they will be re-stocked daily as space opens up on the table as books are sold to encourage buyers to keep visiting in order to get their desired title.

For this weekend only, there will be a farmers' market in the courtyard area offering delicious foods and drinks, fresh produce and fantastic lifestyle products.

Any unwanted books or magazines are welcome and can be dropped off at the library. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the library's landmark building and educational and arts programmes.

To help reduce waste, visitors are encouraged to bring their own bags. However, tote bags will be available for purchase.

Neilson Hays Library is on Surawong Road and opens Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30am to 5pm.
