The Rotary Club of Bangkok Foundation has launched the "Healthy Now, Healthy Always" campaign to raise funds for medical treatment for the underprivileged in Thailand.

Under the initiative, singer-songwriter Hugo Chakrabongse has penned an inspirational new song, A Little Love, influenced by the style of Bob Dylan.

This exclusive track can be viewed on the Foundation's YouTube channel and donations can be made via RotaryNewHope.org. Corporate sponsor B Grimm will match every contribution baht-for-baht, for donations up to 490,000 baht.

The foundation is targeting over 2.7 million baht in crowdfunding donations, which will be used to support three important medical causes -- to provide corrective surgeries for children with cleft palates and other facial deformities; to purchase life-supporting kidney dialysis machines for those in need; and to alleviate a shortage of registered nurses in Thailand.

Approximately 2,000 babies are born with a cleft lip or palate each year in Thailand and the crowdfunding aims to provide 180 children with transformative surgery. Meanwhile, in rural Phetchaburi province, more than 5,500 patients are now in need of life-saving dialysis treatment. The Rotary Club has also pledged to provide two haemodialysis machines that will help 450 patients with end-stage kidney disease. Finally, Rotary Nursing Scholarships will provide financial aid to nursing students facing economic hardship and help them complete their studies.

The campaign started late last month and will be running for three months. Visit youtube.com/watch?v=zJ9BXc2KQYw.
