In an age when one has to adapt to the ever changing rules and regulations, sometimes in matter of hours, cocktail bars are getting innovative.

Vesper, No.11 on the Asia's 50 Best Bar list, has reinvented itself as a café until we all can enjoy a drink at the bar. Vesper Caffè is an all-day "mocktails & bites" eatery.

Bar manager Supawit "Palm" Muttarattana and team have put the same level of creativity into creating innovative and unique mocktails. These include Non-Contrast, a non-alcoholic adaptation of Vesper's signature Contrast menu. Street - I'm Fine (B240), has hoarfrost oolong, which is perfect for this cool weather as it's a winter harvest tea, coconut flower nectar, coconut water and chrysanthemum. The LGBTQ+, Male, Female & Me (B240) is a fruity punch with strawberry, raspberry, tonic water and a splash of citrus.

The café has also joined hands with Nespresso and created espresso and tea-based mocktails. Winter Has Gone (B180) is made using Nespresso Lungo Forte, lychee, raspberry and tonic water, while the Hua Hin - Bangkok (B150) uses Nespresso Origins Guatemala with coconut water and mint. The Earl Grey & Lavender (B150) uses the tea and lavender (natch!) and has the Southeast Asian touches of kaffir lime and the Bangkok-based and made Nammon tonic water.

Chefs Nelson Amorim of il Fumo and Francesco Deiana of La Dotta and 1919 Italian Bar & Restaurant have created small bites to go with the mocktails. The new dishes include Black truffle & wagyu flank steak "katsu" (B340) and Prawns cocktail brioche roll (B250). Desserts come in the form of "Grandmother's Recipe" (B240), a Cognac and caramel flan, and a Homemade orange tarte & cream cheese (B240).

Items will also be available for delivery and takeaway and the café is open Monday to Saturday, 11.30am-9pm (last order 8.30pm).
