A range of superfoods direct from the northern highlands are available during the "Royal Project Gastronomy Festival 2021 @Siam Paragon" which kicks off today and runs until March 7. The venues are the Fashion Hall, 1st floor, and Gourmet Market, ground floor of Siam Paragon, Rama I Road.

Held under the theme "Healthy Food Good Life", the festival is bringing a variety of temperate fruits rich in vitamins, minerals and other nutrients -- thus regarded as superfoods -- such as Praratchathan 80 strawberry, cape gooseberry, red grape, black grape and a special breed of passion fruit with a sweeter taste.

They are presented in a contemporary flea-market like atmosphere -- alongside a wide range of colourful vegetables like baby pumpkins, eggplants in green and black stems, carrots, heart-shaped cabbages, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

Various kinds of grains filled with healthy benefits and other processed foods delivered from the highlands are also being brought for health-conscious people looking for premium ingredients.

Also available are freshly blended coffee called Royal Project Coffee; popular products from the Royal Project Foundation; fresh and dried flowers and potpourri from the Chaipattana Foundation and the Mae Fah Luang Foundation; Doi Kham products; and handicrafts from local communities nationwide.

Expect to try many special dishes at Gourmet Market, such as pumpkin cream soup and seed pumpkin; grilled mini pumpkin with camellia oleifera seed oil; grilled Bresse chicken; and California rainbow trout.

Meanwhile, the "You Hunt We Cook" counter offers free cooking services to customers who select vegetables of their own choice. For every 1,500 baht spent, they will receive a free cloth bag.

From today until the end of March 14, leading restaurants at Siam Paragon are serving over 30 special savoury and sweet dishes and drinks finely created from premium produce from the Royal Project for the festival.
