Wine Garage presents a creative culinary experience that brings rural Korat to life during "Mother Chef -- A Korat Soul Food Experience", at MRMH Studio on Sunday, starting at 6.30pm.
The evening begins in the culinary props kodang of a narrative food stylist where a sparkling wine accompanies the palette on a wild leaf tasting.
Wines will be paired with 12 dishes in the five-course chef's table menu inspired by family recipes and traditional cooking techniques of Korat Mother Chef Prachuap Iampramate.
The first three courses will be introduced with a sepha recital to invoke a sensorial "journey to Korat", a celebration of a rural crossroads with diverse influence.
The main course is all about generosity of spirit and a celebration of the "astrological passage of Songkran". It will culminate with a candlelit ceremonial dance offering that builds into a village-style soeng samrub, where everyone helps carry a samrub of five dishes to the table in a festive communal carnival.
Providing an uplifting mellow round off to a Sunday evening feast will be two types of fun holiday feeling desserts featuring seasonal orchard fruits served with home-smoked tea.
The one-off special evening is priced at 3,900 baht per person. Seats are limited to 20. MRMH Studio is located on Arun Amarin 23.
