To help reduce accumulated anxieties, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health, is presenting an eight-episode video clip series portraying the problems of eight families who share their stories on how they are coping with stress and taking care of their mental health during these difficult times.

Their stories will inspire viewers to practise ways of thinking on a daily basis so that they can learn to allocate time to their work and personal life, develop an emotional balance, reduce stress, convert panic into awareness, communicate with family members and share activities with them.

The video series is aimed at promoting the family unit as an emotional shelter and a place of counselling to solve problems caused by stress. Each episode runs 20 to 30 minutes and is available on the Facebook page Baanpalangjai.

According to Department of Mental Health spokesman and psychiatrist Varoth Chotpitayasunondh, stress can be detected through emotions such as anxiety, fear, paranoia or anger, thoughts (disordered or delusional) and behaviours (aggressive, violent or suicidal).

He recommended we frequently observe to check if we're stressed or not and that we analyse ourselves, find the causes and solutions of stress, talk to our friends and get moral support from our family.
