Seven top chefs from seven meat-centric restaurants in Bangkok are featuring special dishes prepared with Australian beef through the campaign "The Great Steak Escape" from now until Nov 24.

Organised by Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), a not-for-profit organisation that promotes Australian beef, veal, lamb and goat in export markets, the campaign runs throughout Southeast Asia and now it's Thailand turn.

It brings together celebrated cooking skills of seven local chefs together with top-grade Australian beef cuts and presents them in various distinctive styles, following a "from paddock to plate" approach.

Participating restaurants include the revolutionary barbecue smokehouse Smoked by Chef Pam, where wood-fire smoked Angus Dino ribs are highlighted; the Michelin-rated Thai restaurant Market by Khao, where beef panang curry showcases an examplary quality of Down Under red meat; and the exclusive dining establishment Chef's Table by Chef Art, where beef Wellington is recommended by the celebrity cooking master.

Also taking part are Sexy Cow Prime Steak & Seafood, where meat is house-aged in built-in facility and cooked on a bespoke grill; the mini fine dining restaurant Flat Marble, where fat beef fried rice with Wagyu striploin is a star dish; the beef kaiseki restaurant Mad Beef; and Fat Lamb halal restaurant where Australian beef is cooked to Mediterranean-American inspired recipes.

The chef at each restaurant will be sharing their recipes and techniques thorough their online channels, so anyone can create their own restaurant-style dishes at home.

"Australia's vast and pristine environment is the perfect home for raising healthy cattle. It results in a product that is safe and nutritious and offers a delectable taste perfect for all types of cuisines," said MLA Southeast Asia regional manager Valeska Valeska.

"In the absence of international travel, 'The Great Steak Escape' offers a chance to embark on a gastronomic journey Down Under to discover and indulge in premium Australian beef without the risk of travelling."
