Organised by the Olympic Committee of Thailand to celebrate the founding of International Olympic Day on June 23, the 2020 "Olympic Day Virtual Run" will be from Dec 1-20. It is reserved exclusively for those who previously registered for the 2020 Olympic Day walk-run event.

All runners will have 20 days to run and accumulate their distances. Those who participate in the 5km event must accumulate 50km and must share all two checkpoints via Dromos application on their social media accounts such as Facebook, IG and Twitter. The channel should be set to open to the public and include the hashtag #olympicdayvr2020.

Likewise, runners who join the 10km event must accumulate 100km and share all four checkpoints via the same application, also on their social media accounts which must be set to open to the public and include the same hashtag.

Runners of both categories who complete the virtual race will be randomly selected to receive Garmin smartwatches as prizes. However, everyone who registers to join the race will receive a t-shirt, a medal and a souvenir, plus a chance to win lucky draw prizes.

Registrations should be made via thaiticketmajor.com until Nov 30 and entrants will receive a code to join the event via the Dromos application. However, anyone who registers for the 2020 Olympic Day Run but does not wish to join this virtual run can request for a refund.
