Let's make a wish for this holiday season at River City Bangkok where four creative installations of artworks are showcased to bring festive sparkles of hope and encouragement to all visitors, until Jan 7.

Created by artists from 13 galleries of the Artists in Residence (AIR) community, all of the art pieces are meant to be seasonal gifts of hope that is so crucial and important in the current situation when the world is darkened by fear and uncertainty due to the pandemic.

Visitors are invited to check out the installations on display across the art complex. The North Star at the main entrance brings a unique and eco-friendly art installation of Christmas trees made from simple fabric by an artist from Studio 318.

Each tree portrays signature eyes wide open within colourful stars. They represent the North Star, which is believed to bring hope while the playful reindeers running around represent a journey and an adaptation to any surroundings. Make A Wish at the RCB Artery, 1st floor, comprises a frizzy-haired Santa, a sculpture portraying an I Love You hand gesture, and Santa's red socks for you to cast a prediction. They are installed against the backdrop of a large panel painted with semi-abstract art in red and green colours.

Throw Away Your Bad Luck on the second floor features a cheerful and handsome Mr Pink Snowman while the Paper Planes Of Hope on the third floor sees origami paper planes on a large-scale collage made from tiny colourful pieces of paper. It is inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's famous work Starry Night.

Visitors are also invited to write down their hope onto a piece of paper provided in a box and fold it into a plane of hope. The planes will be later collected to create a Christmas tree.
